Overview
This application is used to fix the data generated by o2grabber. O2grabber has som issues that does not work with the norwegian epg. This application tries to fix them.

29.07.2005 UPDATE! O2grabber does not work with norwegian EPG data anymore. http://www.dagenstv.com/no does not deliver any data. The new version fix the problem, but you also have to change your grabber! Se below.

Merge data from TDM and Cartoon Network into one channel - This is necessary because UPC sends Cartoon Network between 05.00 and 21.00 and TCM between 21.00 and 05.00 on the same frequency. This application merges both channels into one new channel that can be imported in MCE. To use this future just select 'Yes' in the settings page under 'Merge TCM and Cartoon Network', then type in o2grabber's channel numbers for the two channels. The data are fetched from the main xmltv file (se below).
Merge data from MTV into norwegian EPG - This is necessary because o2grabber does not import data from MTV when 'no' is selected in o2grabber settings. This fix will merge to xmltv data files. To use this future just select 'Yes' in the settings page under 'Use external MTV data', then browse for the xml file containing the data for MTV. To set up o2grabber the right way - see below. You must import MTV in both xmltv files.
Move information about series into the description of the showing - This is necessary because MCE by default merge information about series whith the title in the epg. This fix will merge information about series with the description. MCE will no longer show series information in the title area. To use this future, just select 'Yes' in the settings page under 'Move series information'.
WebGuide - This application does not work with the newest version of WebGuide. Disable this setting if you dont use WebGuide2! If you are usign WebGuide2 do the following: Convert and import data into WebGuide2 - This is necessary because WebGuide2 does not work with norwegian EPG. This program imports the channel and EPG data used in the converted xmltv files into the WebGuide2 database. To use this future, just select 'Yes' in the settings page under 'WebGuide', and browse for the WebGuide2 directory (se below).
Transform category data into MCE - This is necessary because o2grabber does not match MCEs categories. By enabling this setting the programs will be grouped by General, Sport, News, Kids and Movies. You will need to download this categories.txt file and save it in %windows%\ehome\EpgXmlWriterParts. The original file is write protected. NB! You will need to select 'Download categories' in your o2grabber settings.

Settings
The following settings will do all the functions of the converter.

o2grabber
To use all functions of this converter you will need to run o2grabber two times. o2grabber stores its configuration in a settings file (like this application), so you will have to make to directories and run o2grabber with different settings from the two directories.

Example: The following will get all data for 10 days to the default xmltv file.

Example: The following will get MTV data for 10 days to the MTV xmltv file.

WebGuide
To install and configure WebGuide, follow the instructions on the download page.

TVGrabber
To get the EPG up and running without O2grabber do the following:

Download the latest version of TVGrabber here
Run the exe-file and unzip the content to the same folder as O2grabber.
Run TVGrabber.exe and click on the Settings-tab
I have UPC and have selected channels like this:

Click Apply.
Run the application one time and check the result file.
You also fave to change the settings in this application like this:
Some selections is set to No because TVGrabber delivers data in the right format. Categories does not work anymore because TVGrabber does not deliver category data.
To run TVGrabber from scheduled tasks use the command line: TVGrabber.exe AutoExit
NB! The TVGrabber application does NOT deliver correct XmlTV, so you have to use my application before running QuickGuide.

Usage
Run the program manually by running the exe-file. If you want to schedule this application, use 'Scheduled tasks' in Windows and use the command line option -convert. Before the -convert option will work you have to make the settings and save them.
The command line is: XmlTvDataFix -convert

To get the latest epg imported into MCE do the following:

Run o2grabber or TVGrabber to get default channel data
Run o2grabber to get MTV data (not necessary if uou use TVGrabber)
Run this application to convert data
Use Quickguide to import the data from this application into MCE

Installation Unzip the package into a directory and run setup.exe. After setup is completed, you have to set up a script to call o2grabber and this application in the right order. The latest version (full installer) is availible for download here, or you can download just the executable here. (If you have not installed the program already - use the full installer!)
